旅先の美術館で知ったアーティストANATOLの被るハットをイメージし、オリジナルレザー1 枚仕立てで仕上げました。その美術館の森の中で見た初春の光や草花の色が今シーズンのキーカラーです。他にはない鮮やかなカラーリングのレザーに染め上げています。
経年が良い感じに出るようにこのハットのために製作したレザーは1 枚でも自立できるような適度な張りと軽さを兼ね備えています。コードはサイズ元のフラップに通しているだけなので取り外すこともできます。
コードスライダーは共レザーで、ブリム端のパイピングにはワイヤーが入っているので自由にニュアンスを加えることができます。
内側のテープで55cm〜57.5cm までサイズ調節可能です。
【素材感】
レザーの産地であるたつの市のタンナーさんと相談しながら制作したオリジナルレザーシリーズ。食肉の副産物である日本製のA 級生革を使用し、銀面を活かし芯を残したソフト仕上げにしています。
帽子のパターンに合わせてあらかじめ1mm 厚に漉き、染料の無駄を出さ無いように染め上げています。芯貼りはせずに自立させられること、そして被れば被るほど自分の頭に馴染み経年による乾燥や傷なども良いスパイスとなるよう5 年、10 年、その先もイメージした仕上がりにしています。
本革は食肉の副産物を再利用しているもので大切な命を最後までいただくということと、素晴らしい技術がありながら合皮の台頭で仕事が激減しているタンナーさんにも嬉しく、
そしてメンテナンスをすれば永く愛用でき上質であること。経年も楽しめる点からも後世に残していきたいと思える素材です。

[Design]
Inspired by the hats worn by artist ANATOL, first encountered in a museum on a trip abroad — made from a single piece of original leather. The colors of early spring seen in the forest surrounding that museum — light, grass, and wildflowers — became the key palette for this season, rendered in vivid leather dyes unlike anything else.
The leather was developed specifically for this hat: structured enough to hold its shape unassisted, yet light. The cord threads through a flap at the base and can be removed. The cord slider is made from the same leather, and wire runs along the brim edge so the brim can be shaped freely to suit your mood. Adjustable from 55cm to 57.5cm via the interior tape.
[Material]
An original leather developed in collaboration with a tannery in Tatsuno — Japan's foremost leather-producing region. Grade-A Japanese cowhide, a byproduct of the meat industry, is used with the grain side preserved and finished to a soft, structured hand. Pre-skived to 1mm to suit the hat pattern, dyed with minimal waste, and left without interlining so that the leather stands on its own.
Designed with five, ten, and twenty years in mind — the leather will gradually conform to the shape of your head, and dryness, creases, and marks that come with time only add to its character.
Genuine leather reclaims a byproduct that would otherwise go to waste. It also supports tanneries whose exceptional craft has been threatened by the rise of synthetic alternatives. With proper care, it outlasts almost anything. These are the reasons it feels worth passing on.
[Attention]
Natural leather may show slight variation in color, surface texture, or minor marks — all part of its character. If the interior tape becomes soiled, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
