Patinaという言葉には、素材が長い年月をかけて纏っていく自然な風合いという意味があります。「美しき経年劣化」とも呼ばれ、傷や汚れではなく、アイテムが生きてきた時間の証として愛されてきました。

倉敷産のシャトル織機で織られた高密度キャンバス生地に、パラフィン加工を施したもの。そこからさらに洗い加工を重ね、この独特の風合いを引き出しています。狙い通りの表情に辿り着くまで、何度も試作を重ねました。
縫製は、無骨な生地の扱いを得意とする明石の工場で、一点一点丁寧に仕上げています。

帽子に馴染むよう仕立てたレザーコードを付属。裏地にはカラーステッチを効かせ、オリジナル織ネームにはクスッと笑える内容で取り扱い方法を記載しました。

年中使える着用感で、使うほどに味わいが増していくように仕立てていますので多少乱暴に扱っても大丈夫。

お手入れは革紐を取り外し、クリーニング専門店にご相談いただくか、中性洗剤を使用し優しく手洗いしてください。濯ぎ後タオルドライし、形を整え陰干ししてください。タンブラー乾燥不可。

The word Patina describes the natural texture a material gathers over years of use — sometimes called “beautiful decay.” Not damage, but proof of a life lived.

The fabric is a high-density canvas woven on a shuttle loom in Kurashiki, finished with a paraffin coating and then washed to bring out this particular texture. It took countless rounds of testing to get the look just right. It’s sewn piece by piece at a factory in Akashi known for its skill with heavy, unruly fabrics.

It comes with a leather cord finished to match the hat, a lining set off with colored stitching, and care instructions printed on the original name tag.

Made to grow richer with wear, so don’t be afraid to treat it a little roughly. Fold it up and take it wherever you go.
